Wherever floats your boat

Advertise your moorings where boaters are already looking

Every empty berth costs you money. Maybe your waiting list has gone cold, or your listing sits on a noticeboard, or a classifieds page brings in enquiries from boats that were never going to fit.

Why become a MoorHub partner

A marketplace built only for long-term moorings

Boat owners come to MoorHub to find their next berth. They search by location and waterway and filter by their boat’s exact dimensions. Then they book or bid directly with you.

As a MoorHub partner, you put every vacancy in front of those boaters and manage the whole process from one simple portal. Here’s why operators across the UK are advertising moorings with MoorHub.

Advertise every berth, not just your site

Most mooring advertising stops at the site: a name, a few photos and a phone number. MoorHub goes down to the berth. Each vacancy has its own price, contract length, start date, maximum dimensions and facilities. Boaters can see exactly what’s available and when. They don’t have to phone round to find out.

Your site still gets a full showcase: photos, facilities, site rules, a map and directions. You also get your own partner profile page listing all your sites in one place.

Enquiries from boats that actually fit

Boaters on MoorHub save their boat’s length, beam and draught, and use them to filter their search. A boat that is too big for a berth can’t be booked into it. You spend less time answering questions from boats that were never going to fit, and more time filling berths.

Every enquiry and booking request comes from a signed-in boater. You get their name, contact details and boat details up front.

Fixed price or auction

You choose how each vacancy is listed

Each vacancy can be listed in the way that suits it.

Fixed price

Book now

Set a fixed price and contract length. Boaters send a booking request, and you review it.

  • Your price for the whole contract
  • Your contract length and start date
  • You accept or reject each request
Let the market decide

Auction

Set a starting price and an end time, and let the market decide. Every bid must be more than it. Bidding runs automatically in £5 steps, and bidder identities stay private.

  • Starting price and a fixed end time
  • Automatic bidding in £5 steps
  • See every bid, and the result, in your portal

Auctions work well for sought-after berths, riverside spots with waiting lists, or any vacancy where you want to know what the market will pay. If an auction winner doesn’t complete their booking within 14 days (the default), you can move to the next highest bidder.

Your terms, your customers, your decision

MoorHub never gets between you and your moorer.

0%

commission on the mooring fee

  • You publish your own terms and conditions, and boaters accept them when they book.
  • You review every booking request and accept or reject it.
  • You take payment and sign the mooring contract directly with the boater, the same way you do today.
  • You keep the full mooring fee. MoorHub charges for advertising, not commission.

Built-in demand

Boaters hear about your vacancy the moment it goes live

When you list a vacancy, MoorHub works to get it seen.

  • Favourite site alerts

Boaters who have saved your site are emailed as soon as you list a new vacancy there.

  • Saved search alerts

Boaters with a saved search that matches your berth get it in their twice-daily round-up.

  • Search and maps

Your sites appear in location and waterway searches, on the map, and on dedicated location and waterway pages built for search engines.

Popular sites build a following of boaters waiting for a vacancy. You can reach them all without keeping a waiting list yourself.

Who MoorHub is for

For anyone offering long-term moorings in the UK

MoorHub is for anyone who offers long-term leisure or residential moorings in the UK.

  • Marinas
  • Canal and river mooring sites
  • Harbours and coastal moorings
  • Boat clubs and boatyards
  • Council and navigation authority sites
  • Private landowners with bankside moorings

Whether you have one berth or several hundred, MoorHub fits the way you work. We focus only on long-term moorings, so we don’t list visitor nights, holiday berthing, short stays or dry storage. Boaters on MoorHub are looking for a home for their boat.

Pricing

Pricing that fits your operation

Every operator is different, from a single bankside berth to a marina group with hundreds of moorings. We don’t offer one-size-fits-all pricing. Instead, we’ll talk to you about your sites and put together pricing that works for you.

Here’s how it works:

  • Each listing runs for 30 days, and renews while the vacancy stays live.
  • You're billed monthly, in arrears.
  • You can stop advertising a vacancy at any time.
  • There's no commission on the mooring fee. Boaters pay you directly.

FAQ

Questions from operators

How much does it cost to advertise moorings on MoorHub?

Pricing depends on your sites and how many vacancies you list, so we agree it with each partner. Listings run in 30-day periods and are billed monthly while they're live. There's no commission on the mooring fee. Get in touch using the form and we'll talk you through it.

Does MoorHub take a commission on bookings?

No. Boaters pay you directly, and you keep the full mooring fee. MoorHub only charges for advertising your vacancies.

Do I have to accept every booking request?

No. You review every booking request and choose whether to accept or reject it. Boaters also have to accept your own terms and conditions before they can book.

What happens if an auction winner doesn't book?

The winner has 14 days to complete their booking by default. If they don't, you can offer the berth to the next highest bidder.

I already have a waiting list. Why would I use MoorHub?

MoorHub helps you fill a berth when your waiting list doesn't come through. It also reaches boaters who don't know your site yet. Boaters who save your site are alerted every time you list a vacancy, so MoorHub can act as a waiting list that keeps itself up to date.

Can my whole team manage our listings?

Yes. Each colleague can have their own login to the partner portal. They can sign in with email, Google or Microsoft.
